Hello awesome friends and visitors,
I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I know I’m definitely super busy with the start of the new school year! For today’s teacher tech tip Tuesday, I complied a list of FREE game-based learning websites. My students absolutely love playing educational games on their Ipad to practice what they’ve learned in the classroom.
- https://www.mathplayground.com/ (grades K-6) – Free math games and puzzles for grades K-6. The games connect to Google classroom.
- https://www.abcya.com/ (grades K-6+) – Free games based on the Common Core Standards for many different subjects. There are even games about learning how to use technology!
- https://www.brainpop.com/games/ (recommended for grades 6-12) – Brainpop is such a well-known and beloved website by many educators! Brainpop has free educational games for adolescent students to use without the need to make an account.
- https://pbskids.org/games (recommended for early childhood students) – PBS Kids has great educational games to go along with some well-known TV shows. The games can also help students practice and review basic life skill concepts, such as how to dress up.
- https://freerice.com/home (recommended for grades 4-12) – Free Rice allows students to practice their vocabulary skills on top of donating rice to those in need whenever they answer a question correctly. Free Rice also teaches students about how to help those in need.
I hope you like these websites! Leave a comment below if you tried them in your classroom!
xoxo,
Kelly
