Hello awesome readers,
Thanks for joining me today! π As I promised, I will be updating my blog more often. I do apologize again for the lack of posts during the 2023-2024 school year.
Anyways, today I want to share about organizational apps for teachers and students. One amazing organizational app that I’ve been using as a teacher is Google Calendar. Google Calendar is free with a gmail account (could be a personal or work account). I put in reminders of important work dates, such as field trips and IEP meetings on my phone via the Google Calendar app. Therefore, I do not have to worry about not having my physical teacher planner with me or forgetting an important work date.
Another organizational app that I’ve used as a graduate student and some of my older students have tried before is called Notability. Notability is a note-taking app that is great for studying and annotating any type of reading. The app allows you to annotate pdf files, which helps with comprehension.
One of my students’ favorite organizational app is called Google Freeform. Google Freeform works best on an I-pad and when you are using an Apple pencil. My students have made their own graphic organizers for note-taking on the app. They also have made to-do lists to keep track of what they need to do for their classes.
An organizational app that I’ve heard many great reviews about is called My Study Life. It is an app that functions like a planner for students. Students can keep track of when their classes are, which homework assignments are due soon, and important school dates (such as exams). I am curious to see if I can try this out with my older students to see if the app is helpful or not.
Anyways, I hope you can try out the organizational apps that I’ve listed if you haven’t done so already! Please feel free to leave a comment below about the apps or any questions you may have!
Xoxo,
Kelly
