Computer science education week

Hello everyone,

Last week 12/5 to 12/9 was computer science education week (CS Ed week). CS Ed week is always in the beginning of December in honor of the late computer scientist named Grace Hopper.

I’ve used computer science related children books, scratch Jr app and coding cards, and unplugged conditionals sorting and debugging (similar to maze following the sequence with up, down, left, and right to get from the start to finish) activities to launch CS Ed week in my classroom (self contained grades 2 and 3). Since they say talk is cheap (LOL), I’m sharing pictures of what my students did from 12/5 to 12/9. Links will also be included to teach computer science in your classroom.
