Hello awesome educators!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend & Monday! 🙂 It is Tuesday again, which means it is time for teacher tech tip Tuesday! WOO-HOO!!! 🙂
I am excited to share with you about “Everyone Can Create” with Apple products (best done on I-pad)! When I was attending my Apple Learning Coach live sessions and completing the units asynchronously, I was asked to create many projects using my Macbook Air or Ipad mini with Apple Pencil in order to receive my Apple Learning Coach certification. Again, I do not work for or represent Apple in any shape or form. Apple products have AMAZING apps for creating artistic works. For example, GarageBand makes wonderful podcasts and songs and iMovie allows you to create and edit videos. These apps are great tools to support multi-talented and diverse learners in the classroom (think of Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences). An example I would like to give is if you are an elementary school teacher teaching about the American Revolutionary War. You can collaborate with your students or have them work in groups to create a podcast on GarageBand about what happened in the war, such as how one podcast will represent a key event. You can also choose to make a timeline video showcasing the important events in the war or leading up to the war on iMovie or iClips.
If you haven’t done so already, I recommend that you sign up for Apple Education Learning Center and get your Apple Teacher certification because everything is free and super helpful! There are so many great resources and peers to connect with via Apple Education Learning Center and its forum. There are already created lesson plans, teacher and student guides, teaching videos, etc. that will minimize your planning time as a teacher!
